With this highly practice-oriented training, you will expand your intercultural competence and promote a respectful and inclusive working environment. You will discover how even minor changes in your communication can help to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts between different cultures and can improve mutual understanding. Participants have the opportunity to reflect on their own intercultural challenges and practical cases and to develop concrete solutions together. You will become aware of your own cultural imprints and its effects as well as your personal communication preferences. So, as a result, in future, you will learn to recognize and defuse areas of tension between cultures in good time.

The open training "Leading Intercultural Teams" is aimed at managers, team leaders, HR professionals, project managers and all those who work in intercultural environments and who want to strengthen their skills in dealing with cultural diversity.

Dr. Chris Schäfer

Dr. Chris Schäfer ist promovierter Chemiker und war selbst 8 Jahre Führungskraft im Vertrieb in der globalen Chemie- und Pharmaindustrie. Nach einem Studienaufenthalt an der Kellogg University und einem MBA in General Management absolvierte er Ausbildungen zum Business Trainer und Systemischen Coach und unterstützt seit 2006 als selbständiger Management-Trainer regelmäßig Unternehmen und deren Mitarbeiter in Europa, Asien, Australien und Amerika bei ihren interkulturellen Herausforderungen, inzwischen in über 30 Ländern rund um den Globus. Er ist u.a. akkreditierter InsightsDiscovery®-Trainer und Dozent an der Mannheim Business School.

Dr. Chris Schäfer holds a PhD in chemistry and worked as a sales manager in the global chemical and pharmaceutical industry for 8 years. After a study trip to Kellogg University and an MBA in General Management, he was qualified as a business trainer and systemic coach. Since 2006 he has regularly supported companies and their employees in Europe, Asia, Australia and America in their intercultural challenges as an independent management trainer, now in over 30 countries around the globe. Among other things, he is an accredited InsightsDiscovery® trainer and lecturer at Mannheim Business School.

1. Interactive development of the workshop content through a mix of methods consisting of impulses from the trainer, group and individual work, collegial case consultation and numerous exercises

2. Practical simulations on case studies of the participants; Use of role-plays with intense feedback (on individual strengths and areas for development), Guidance on practical transfer to the participants’ working environment and measures to ensure the sustainability of changes
